OpenRTM-aist includes several sample components that can be used easily. (The CameraViewer/OpenCVCamera components require OpenCV.) The source code of the sample components is also included, so please use it as a reference for development.

This chapter describes the sample components included with OpenRTM-aist. If you want to use the sample components, start the Name Service before launching the sample components. The following programs are provided for the Name Service.

• Start Naming Service.bat (C++)
• rtm-naming.py (Python)

To run the Name Server on Windows, locate the corresponding file in Explorer and double-click it. If OpenRTM-aist was installed using the installer, the Name Service can also be started from [Start Menu] > [OpenRTM-aist] > [Start Naming Service].

This chapter assumes an environment where RTSystemEditor has been installed. For details on installing RTSystemEditor, refer to Installing OpenRTP.
